These are taken directly from Text files from Purple Mage:
From the file: brainstorming
As we are working on a game with a rather more tropical
nature than the original games I really like Lucas ideas with
the Tuucan and Tuiuiu birds. They will add this "tropical"
feeling to the game merely by their apperance.
So almost a jungle huh? Rainforest. Pretty awsome if I may say
so myself..
So for starters::
The cat-feline-Lion fire type, I'll try to add
flames to the tail and mane, it will look more fire-ish, like
Cyndaquil-quilava-typlosion.
Pleaseent(Pleaseed) Not quite sure what name we'll go with. But
the grass-fighting type is quite hard to get away with, only
Breeloom succeded. Natter is pretty much a treant, I didn't
want to add any leafs to the branches, that is up to Lucas as
well. Treogre, the name itself reminds me of "True-Ogre" from
Tekken 3, gives enough fearful sound to it as Treogre is a
four-armed oaken tree or something of the kind. It turned out
pretty well.
Wabrod and the rest. I haven't really begun working on them yet
but I'm pretty sure it'll turn out good now that I and Lucas
had a word with each other about its appearance. Wabrod itself
could be nominated for the "cutest pokémon" contest.
And the less obvious::
Nethep, Nethop, Nethethast. All three are replicas of the Purple
mage's hat. It really shouldn't be used for anything else.(As in
the open area) But I guess that you could make a choice after
you beat him of wich one you would like of the three families.
Basicly it is my idea of a nullifier, Ghost negates normal and
fighting types while dark makes it immune to psycic and Levitate
gives it ground-protection. I'm pretty sure everyone will hate
them.
Nazdra, Naralic, Twidra. These are my basic thought of a dragon
Although Twidra was supposed to be the second stage and another
one with five heads would be the third with Naralic as an
optional evolvement.
Arcish,Arcuna. Pretty much the basic thought of a wyvern-fishy.
Although the third stage isn't complete yet I hope that it will
turn out according to my thoughts.
Scoorcoos. Joe's birdy-bird really, we talked about making it
fire-dragon and yet look like a bird somewhat. We got some cool
ideas but both of us thought that it would look like a legendary
one, and I guess that is cool, an evolving legendary.
Basic pokémons::
We'll create a toucan bird, my thoughts is that its evolvement
will have an axe-beak, would look cool. No thougths about the
bird itself though.
The tuituiu bird looks like a stork to me, I'll try my best to
make it look more like a dudou instead of a fearow. No other
thoughts about that one either, perhaps a lighning fellow.
The Coala should be done sooner or later, Lucas idea as well.
He wants it to be a sleepy pokémon but we already got Slatoth,
yeah sure he is a sloth but we really
shouldn't use the same idea twice.
Some thoughts of my own then...
Well a Mosquito, I don't get how there has been four
generations already and yet no mosquito... The evolvement
should get either a jagged one or a forked one.
There is no real cricket, there is a mantis(scyther) and such
but no grasshopper or cricket, I guess that one could be used
as well. My bad, just remembered the new one, small red thing
wich gets a violin-ish arm.
A seacucumber, those are just amazing, Could get a pretty odd
yet original evolvement.
Gazelles/Antilopes, another thought of mine as we are broading
our views. The horms would be the largest focus really but not
a reindeer like Stantler.
Zebra, another animal that just didn't make it, the only
horse-ish pkmn in the games are ponitya and rapidash. I'd like
an unicorn and pegasus if I was in charge and this gives me the
power to. Zebra with one flying upgrade and one... Steel upgrade
or something.
Guana, those long and yet slow dinosaur-looking lizards,
monotremes, no idea what these animals are called but they look
like utters with duck-beaks. platypus that's it.
Some more monkeys perhaps? Chimps? Those lemurs?
Dolphins, could probably do something fun with these as they
communicate with sound. Just think about the possibilites!
echidna/porcupine could be used for yet another elecric pkmn
nothing huge as long as they do not resemble sandshrews too much
Taipreks, almost pigs/swines but I bet swinub is based on one of
those.
Peecoc, or whatever. Those birds have yet to been used.
Scandinavic ones.
Moose, just a gods d**ned hell. So many games, but no moose?
I'll make a moose to honour my homeland as it is known to the
world for this creature.
Wolverines, no not a werewolf and not some x-men shait. The
wolverine is actually an animal you know? Scandinavian as well
though, maybe not so easy to know about.
Bison-oxes is another cool animal, pretty much a buffel although
with this huge cover of fur.
Goats/bucks, this is also something that never made it into the
game, they got mareep-fluffy who are sheep but no goat, thinking
sabout some hard-rock goatee and those spiraled horns.
Killerwhale, another aquatic pkmn... like that is required? No
not really... With this one and all mentioned above then there
are over 100 water types. But another water-ice, yeah
pretty obvious.
Polar bears, something more animalish and not so very ursaring.
Ice type of course but you could play around and give it another
type.
The new stages::
We got Babashkan, the baby Kangashkan, maybe if you got an egg
in your party the Babaskhan will be created in the same time as
the egg pokémon if a Kangaskhan is in the party.
Shellbro, I liked Lucas idea here with the canceling Slowpoke
evelution will give you one of these. I was thinkin
g of an alternative Shellder but this one works great.
Dittduo, was just a name that I made up, pretty much a Ditto
with the Keckleon ability and then conversion one and two.
I can't remember but I think that there is some move wich works
by copying the last one use.
Vlad reminded me about the llama, and he got some pretty
original ideas as well although I doubt he just made them up
right now.
~Prpl_Mage brainstorming.
The story is actually a bit more dark than a normal pokémon game. And a bit more mature as well. Well, a little.
So, join in and help!
Don't forget we now have Pokemon Opal!
